Hellbent on a Good Wednesday

You guys. I am already FRIED after this week. And it's only Wednesday. This is not good. I woke up with a cold on Monday, I've been dealing with some crazies at work, and in general, I just feel irritated. What's a girl to do, you ask? You put on some red lipstick and you handle. That. Shit.

I have only ever finished 1 lipstick in my life and that was Milani's Ruby Valentine. The perfect vinyl-finish, fire-engine red. Since I have quite a few other lipsticks, I haven't gotten around to repurchasing that shade, but maybe one day I will. The red that I am closest to finishing now is Kat von D's Studded Kiss lipstick in Hellbent. I have to say that half the reason I love this one is the name. Who wouldn't feel instantly 150% more of a badass with that name of lipstick? The KVD website describes the hues as a "matte crimson red". This isn't your typical, blue-based, pinup girl red. This is a red with a darker side. If Ruby Valentine was Marilyn Monroe, then Hellbent is Bettie Page (full disclosure: I adore both of these ladies).

So yeah, I base my outfits on makeup once in a while. Some days you just need one accessory (or lipstick) to power you through the day.Hopefully Hellbent can get me through the rest of the week unscathed.
