So, sadly, my favorite Salvation Army in Montgomeryville closed last week! It's actually moving to Quakertown, but that's a little bit farther than I'd like to go. Well, wouldn't you know that when one door shuts, another one opens. And that door is to my new fave consignment shop, West Main Consignment in Lansdale. My cousin got married last week and I discovered that I was lacking in cardigans (which I needed for my dress, because it was unexpectedly rainy and cold that day) so I popped in to see if I could find a little wrap or sweater on the cheap. Needless to say, I hit the jackpot. There is an entire rack of clothing up front that is a dollar. That's right. One dollar per piece of clothing. Are you for real?? That's where I ended up getting this camel-colored J.Crew cardigan. Think about that. Think about how outrageously overpriced J.Crew is. And now think about finding it for a buck. Pretty cool, right?

I paired this simple cardigan with this long black vintage Laundry by Shelli Segal dress that I found at Goodwill. It's perfect to dress up or down. To dress this up, I'd wear it without a sweater to show off the back of it; I'll definitely be styling it like that this summer for going out to dinner with my husband or out on the town with friends. My shoes are probably my favorite part of this outfit, though. I got these on mega-clearance at DSW in January with one of my BFFs, Catherine. These were Sam Edleman platforms at 80% off. I nearly fainted. I haven't worn platforms since probably the early 00s, but holy hell, why did I ever stop?? These are like walking on air.

Want to know the funniest part of this story? I ended up wearing something totally different to the wedding. But I gained a new favorite hot spot in case I ever need anything in a pinch again, thanks to my new pals at West Main!
