A Few of My Favorite Things

Now that spring is here, I am all about the dresses and skirts. Everyone at work is probably wondering who the hell I think I am, walking around all dressed up. All winter, I lived in jeans, sweaters, and combat boots. I tend to go into fashion hibernation once it gets cold. I have no motivation to wear anything fancy, even with tights. Spring and summer is when I break out of my cocoon and start to dress in a more fun way!
I have amassed quite the collection of dresses and skirts, but around 95% of them are thrifted. The Goodwill I frequented when I lived in Chester County was BOMB for finding cardigans and pencil skirts. The Thorndale Goodwill is who I have to thank for the black pencil skirt with faux-belt detail that I am wearing today. I freaking love this skirt, and I only paid two bucks for it! I mean, I've paid more for coffee than that. The tag is ripped out, so I don't know who the designer is, but he or she did a damn good job. It makes my butt look so good and it goes with pretty much everything in my closet. What's not to love?
Today, I decided to wear a sleeveless denim top and a leopard print cardigan with it. The top is from my now-local Goodwill in Montgomeryville and the sweater is by Jones New York from Boscov's; I think I got it 4 years ago and it still looks awesome. Thrifted Merona heels completed my fun but office-friendly look. Business from the waist down, party from the waist up. That's the perfect mix for me!
