Mixing it Up

I love traveling...but I HATE packing. After a crazy/fun Easter weekend, I didn't get back home until 9 pm last night...and I had to pack for my trip to Denver on Tuesday. I felt totally overwhelmed, so I did what I do best and I just packed all the things. Which left me with the wonderful question of "what the hell do I wear for work tomorrow?" My answer? A little bit of everything that I like!

I wasn't really feeling pants today with how warm it's been, so I opted for my favorite length skirt: the midi. It's perfect for warm or cool weather, modest, but not school-marm. I really dig the olive and black stripes on this one because I can wear it in any season. I topped that off with one of my many graphic tees. I thought my Nirvana tank fit in with the grungy color palette of my skirt pretty well. I will take any opportunity I can get to wear a band shirt, I love dressing them up to give them a little more polish. Lastly, I wore my new favorite sandals, black and leopard-print wedges. The pattern and design of the straps fits the funky vibe of my look, and the small wedge heel says, "Hey, I tried to look nice today! Give me some credit!" I topped everything off with a trusty denim jacket and a tan leather bag, and it actually came together pretty well for rushing to get dressed on a Monday morning.

I won't have time to post this week because I will be enjoying time with my friends, but you can see my vacay posts on my Instagram account, @riotxpearl! Have a great week everyone!
