Spooky, But Really Nice

If you guys have read my about me on my blog, you know how I came up with the name for my blog. "Riot Pearl" basically describes my, as the millennials put it, *aesthetic*. I am an big fan of costume jewelry, vintage silhouettes, high heels, and red lipstick. On the other hand, I also love combat boots, punk music, dark nail polish, and ripped jeans. You know, get you a girl who can do both and all that jazz. My favorite way to dress is to combine both of those styles. I love pairing lace dresses with a leather jacket, a white dress with black lipstick, etc. A mix of sweet and sassy is always a slam dunk in my book.

Today's outfit is a prime example of what my style is. I paired my new Misfits shirt with this black and white scribble skirt I got from a Goodwill in Denver (I know, I always sniff out the local thrift store no matter where I go lol). This kind of skirt is my favorite cut midi) and I love how it isn't skin tight so it twirls a little bit. When my sister was little, my mom would buy her dresses and ask her to test the "twirl factor" aka she spun around as fast as she could to see how much poofed out. I can't lie, at 25 I still do the same thing. If my blog is any indication, I love me a good graphic tee and I was excited to add this one to my collection. Most of my shirts are music themed, and I listen to every band on my shirts. I feel a certain type of way about people who don't listen to the music on the shirts they buy; like why would you wear a jersey of a sports team you don't root for? It's just weird, man!

I completed the look with my Payless block heel sandals that I've had forever and my most innocent looking bright pink gloss and pearl earrings. As long as you have the confidence to pull it off, you really can have it all fashion-wise!
