Orange You Glad?

As I've mentioned previously, orange is one of my favorite colors. It's bold, sunny, and evokes such happiness to me. I have started quite the collection of accessories and clothing in this shade, and today's top is one of my favorite pieces in my closet.
I was browsing through some sleeveless tops at the latest Goodwill half-off sale last month when I came across this bright beauty. I was immediate drawn to the true orange hue, but I fell more in love with it as I look at the detailing. As you can see on the base of the turtleneck, there is an adorable little bow. For some reason, this reminded me of the 60's Mad Men type of style, one of my favorite era's of fashion. I fell even harder for this top when it turned it around. In the middle of the back, there is a little peekaboo hole with another tiny bow at the base. I love pieces that have cutout detail, and this was cheeky, but also modest (and the back of my bra didn't show!) I was sold. The best part? This cost me $1.50. Yes, you read that correctly. Less than 2 bucks for a totally adorable and one-of-a-kind top.
As with most things, this little number looks great paired with leopard print, so my also-thrifted J.Crew skirt got the nod today. My nude (thrifted) Nine West heels, gold jewelry, and a pink-based red lip completed my 60s brunette office-Barbie theme. I woke up a little bit sleepy today, but this vibrant look is just the shot of sunshine I needed to get through this Tuesday.
