That's a Wrap

Question: why did it take me so long to discover the magic that is a wrap dress? Answer: because in this heyday of crop tops and short shorts, they are hard to come by. I have two wrap dresses and I found both of them while thrifting. Our mothers and grandmothers know the magic of this wonderful wardrobe addition, they were the hot thing back in the day and with good reason. They hug your figure and give you curves you didn't have before or they flatter the ones you already have. They're soooo comfortable and are perfect for those in-between weather days. And they come in a plethora of fun prints. Honestly, what's not to love?

I found this Old Navy wrap dress at the Goodwill in Denver a few weeks ago. I was visiting one of my best friends, Anna. One of my other BFFs, Dan, and I headed over to the thrift store closest to her house and I was not disappointed! As soon as I saw the tiny white hearts on the red fabric, I knew I had a winner. I'm usually not a huge fan of hearts (I refused to put them on anything for my wedding...too cliche) but this print was so tiny and cute that I let it slide. When I wore this for the first time yesterday, I was impressed with how soft the fabric was and flattering the cut was. I paired it with my Nine West Mary Janes, fun earrings, and my favorite red lipstick. It looked like I spent a lot of time planning my outfit, when it really just took me a few minutes! *bows down like Wayne and Garth* Wrap dresses, we're not worthy!!
