Gimme the Details

Like I said in my post yesterday, I love a good conversation piece. Patterns, colors, fabrics, give me all of them at once! I am a big fan of pattern mixing, texture mixing, just making a outfit interesting in general. Today's style is a little bit of everything...for spring!
First of all, I'm obsessed with this lace H&M top. I had one just like it several years ago, but it was lavender. Isn't that funny how you can have fashion deja vu when you go thrifting? I knew immediately that I could pair this top with just about anything and it would be a little vintage, a little funky, and a whole lot of awesome. Whenever I thrift (and shop for clothes/shoes/jewelry etc. in general), I try to think of at least 2 or 3 outfits that I could wear said piece with. If you can't think of anything, then it's really not worth it. With this top however, I could see it with jeans, shorts, a skirt...just about anything!
To add some seasonal pizzazz, I wore my green Merona sweater with white polka dots. This color just instantly makes me smile. I love how the dots and lace of my top look really polished. I then put on my dark, old faithful H&M skinny jeans, my peep-toe heels, and put on some of my favorite earrings that I haven't worn in forever. I love all the different color bubbles on these costume gems! Lastly, I put on my most favorite hot pink lipstick ever and I felt ready to take on the world.
Like any juicy story you share with your girlfriends over pizza and cocktails, the details are important...the same goes for your wardrobe!
