Sherbet Pants FTW

My husband and I like to pick out our clothes the night before a work day so we don't have to think too much in the morning (thinking comes after coffee). Last night, I was laying out my clothes, and he just looks and goes "Orange pants?" Yes, love. There is never a bad time for colored denim; it's jeans, but it looks fancier. I'm a big fan of the illusion that I've tried really hard to curate my look, but in reality, it just took a few minutes.
I love this shade of orange. It reminds me of one of my BFFs, Catherine. "Sherbet", as we call it, is one of her favorite colors. Every time we go shopping, she tends to gravitate toward this color. I decided to take the plunge myself when I spotted these at Salvation Army (you can read about them here). I have to say, it pays to take style tips from your friends. How can I not smile every time I wear these?
Before, I paired these with a solid color top, but I was feeling a bit wild today, so I added one of my favorite Keith Haring tees, a denim shirt, my Sam Edleman leopard platforms, and a bandanna with a poof in my hair, a style that I am too lazy to do all the time. I like to do THE MOST, and minimalism bores me 95% of the time. I love when people wear accessories that clash, mixed-up patterns, and wild shoes. Fashion isn't supposed to be taken seriously, in my opinion, and it makes me happy to see people take risks.
