Swear on Chanel

Like many other girls my age, I was just gaga over Sex and the City. Some like to pigeonhole themselves into one of the characters (i.e., "I'm such a Samantha"). However, I couldn't really relate to any of them, and I kind of prefer my TV show characters that way. Sometimes it's fun to watch someone totally different from yourself and see how they process certain situations. No matter how whiny Charlotte was, corny Carrie was, breathy Samantha was, or obstinate Miranda was, those bitches could dress...and they taught me the importance of a statement shoe.

I was wandering around West Main Consignment in Lansdale on my lunch break when I spotted them. Who is them, you ask? That would be THE SHOES. The shoes in question are the silver, black cap-toed, authentic Chanel slingbacks that happened to be in my size. I tried to tell myself to not get too excited; they probably were too expensive. Then I looked at the price tag: $30. Are you kidding me?! 30 bucks for authentic Chanel shoes?! Sold. They are so classic, but the shiny silver adds such a modern twist, I could not pass them up.

I went totally black and white with my clothes today so that my shoes could really stand out. Silver and black jewelry and a red lip were the cherry on top. This has been a busy week, but in this ensemble, I was ready to make Wednesday my bitch.
