Remember when nautical-themed items were a *thing*? Me and every girl I knew went through a phase of loving anything red/white/blue, striped, gold-braided, and especially anchor-ed. I loved the simplicity and clean lines of the style and how it hearkened back to simpler times. When I saw today's dress, it brought back so many f those feelings for me.

This past Sunday, one of my BFFs Maura and I went to the Thorndale Goodwill (my old stomping grounds) for their legendary half-off sale. We were there for almost three hours sifting through blouses, sweaters, shorts, and our favorite, dresses. Their selection did not disappoint! Within no time, our carts were full to the brim of items to try on. While we didn't get everything, this dress was a standout star to me. It is by Lauren Ralph Lauren, my favorite classically preppy brand. It is so comfortable and easy for any time of year. And let's talk about the print and the colors! I love how rich the color palette is.

All I needed for this outfit was a little cream-colored sweater, my Cole Haan wedges, and a red lip (of course!)This look reminds me of something I would have gone crazy for in junior high in In-Style Magazine. 12-year-old me is proud!
