Too Pure to be Pink

I'll never forget when my parents and I watched Grease for the first time. I was 9 years old and I was entranced by the music, the dancing, and, of course, the wardrobes of the characters. My favorites were the Pink Ladies, especially Rizzo, aka the baddest bitch at Rydell High. Rizzo always said exactly what she was thinking and had no patience for nonsense. Her frankness about sex from a women's perspective was so refreshing, especially in regards to the time period represented. AND she did all of this while wearing pink, the color least associated with badass ladies. Betty, we salute you.
My love for Grease has not wavered in those 10+ years (OMG) and neither has my love of the fashion from that era. When I saw this dress at the Salvation Army, my mind immediately said "FINALLY I can be a part of the Pink Ladies". This vintage Express dress is the most perfect, innocent shade of pink. It also has several pockets, which all girls know is the sign of a superior garment. I love to wear this with a pair of Chucks and a swipe of lipstick for an easy summer look.
Will I be pairing this with a leather jacket a la the T-Birds come fall/winter? We shall see...
