Haute Pink

I consider myself pretty open to any fashion: I usually pick out items with the strangest patterns and fabrics just to keep it interesting. But one thing that I have loathed for many years is a ruffle. Any kind of ruffles or ruching just never ever worked with my body type...until now.

I was at the Goodwill in Montgomeryville during the last half-off day they had when I spotted this frothy pink top. Hot pink is my FAVORITE shade of pink ever, so I had to pick it up. Even though ruffles put me off a little bit, I had to admit that I loved the collar of this blouse. This is the perfect amount of detailing for this brightly colored top.

As you all know, I love to mix girly and edgy pieces. I knew that I wanted to toughen up this girly shirt, so I added black cigarette pants and a kickass pair of black and snakeskin Schutz heels that I got from the same half-off sale. I added some elegance with black and silver accessories and a hot red-pink lipstick. You're supposed to do one thing every day that scares you, and I think I have conquered my fear of ruffles.
