A Lovers' Coral

Hooray for Monday Pun-Day! haha :)

Would you believe me if I said that I bought this dress in February...and this is the first time I've worn it out? Well, believe it. I was supposed to wear this number to my cousin's wedding in May, but it ended up being cold and rainy that day. I definitely didn't plan on that happening; the wedding I went to in April was hot and sunny, and I thought it would have been the same in May. Isn't that how weather is, though?

Coral is a color that I really don't wear all that often and this dress has me questioning why that is. It's so perfect for spring and summer and looks amazing with gold or turquoise jewelry. This dress is another home run by Calvin Klein, aka the designer I find the most at the thrift store and I have not a clue why because he kills it every time. Even better? The dress still had tags attached. The retail price? $130. Savers price? $9.99. SCORE!

I wanted to keep the focus of this look on the bright peachy-pink hue, so I kept it relatively neutral with nude sandals, gold accessories, and...a nude lip?! Who am I?! It was National Lipstick Day on Saturday, so I was one of the crazies that waited in line for a free MAC lipstick. I selected Velvet Teddy, apparently the "sexiest nude". Nude lipstick is actually totally out of my comfort zone, but I added some gloss on top and I really kinda like it with this look! I like this whole "trying new things on a Monday" thing :)

DRESS: Calvin Klein via Savers, $9.99

SHOES: Payless, $15

Lipstick is MAC Velvet Teddy with blueberry Lip Smackers gloss on top :)
