Vintage Vibes

I have really been feeling vintage dresses lately. Yesterday, I wore a pretty collared pink dress and my Cioci (aunt in Polish) said I looked like a 50's pin-up girl, which is the best compliment EVER! So, I decided to keep that train rolling into this fine Monday with a sleeveless polka-dot dress.

You've seen this dress before in chillier weather here, where I wore it with a cozy Ralph Lauren sweater. I love clothes that are versatile and look good in every season. I love this dress ever more for spring and summer! The neck is slightly slouchy and super flattering. I like how it's sleeveless without having spaghetti straps. And I LOVE the material: swingy and swishy, I feel like a little kid playing dress-up when I walk around. It's just an added bonus that the dress is black with white polka-dots, one of my favorite patterns.

As with a majority of my ensembles, I like to add elements of modern and classic fashion. Remember in that one episode of America's Next Top Model where Tyra Banks iconically said for the girls to pose "Hoe, but make it fashion"? Well, I like to think, "vintage, but add a fun twist" (those marathons on VH1 were so damn good, I miss that, btw). I wore my shimmery Chanel slingbacks and added a bandanna and vintage strawberry earrings to make this a complete "Liz" look. Not too shabby for a Monday.

DRESS: Valerie Bertanelli via Goodwill Montgomeryville, $3.25

BANDANNA: A.C. Moore, $1

SHOES: Chanel via West Main Consignment, $30
